Queer Community of Care Fall Huddles

Living life as a queer person is both a blessing, and a marked challenge in normative society. While being queer (either by sexual orientation, gender, or otherwise) is becoming more accepted, it doesn’t mean living a queer life is free from unpacking the restrictive and often damaging experiences from one’s younger years or day to day encounters. By the same token, queer folks also have things they want to celebrate! This last bi-monthly, drop-in community of care series is designed to give queer individuals a space to connect, share, and workshop their highs and lows. Commune with friends and professionals doing deep community work who also identify as queer. We’ll adopt an open share format where participants can share what’s on their mind, and either solicit feedback, or merely benefit from mindfully held space. We kindly request that allies refrain from attending and instead share an intentional moment with a queer human in their life. No long term commitment is required. We welcome individuals who are openly queer, or privately questioning.
