WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a life energy therapy with roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki is not affiliated with a specific religion or religious practice, nor is it based on a specific belief. It is a gentle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.
It is believed that Reiki is the life essence in all living things. Reiki Practitioners acknowledge that each of us have the ability to connect with our own healing energy and use it to strengthen energy within ourselves. It is thought that a person’s “ki” optimally be vibrant and flow freely. When this is so, a person's body and mind is in a balanced state of health and being.
A Reiki session may help to ease tension and support the body in facilitating an environment in which healing on all levels – physical, mental, spiritual, energetic and emotional - can occur. A session is largely pleasant and relaxing and is often compared to being in a deeply resting or meditative state.

Being mindful that each of us have varying levels of comfort, I remain agile in working with each individual's needs and accessibility provisions. It is my goal to provide a comfortable and inviting environment in which folks receive Reiki and ensure their safety and well-being before, during and after a session.
